Quickbooks Training (Easthampton/Northampton/Hadley)

Quickbooks training
is usually done one-on-one at the client's site, using their computer and files and personalized to their specific needs. First we schedule an initial meeting to discuss what the client wants from the training. If we decide to work together, I may review their existing Quickbooks file and prior year tax returns, looking for common errors or possible changes to their chart of accounts to allow them to track information more accurately or understand it better.
Training is usually done in 2-3 hour blocks of time. Depending on the client's needs and understanding of both Quickbooks and bookkeeping principles, we may do only one training session or schedule regular meetings over the course of several weeks. Once the client is comfortable with using Quickbooks for basic tasks, we may continue training in more specific areas or simply schedule follow-up sessions as needed. Depending on the complexity of the client's bookkeeping needs, we may also schedule a joint meeting with their accountant to discuss specific issues.
During the training process, I may also assist the client with creating excel templates to be used in conjuction with their Quickbooks data, to help with allocating costs, quarterly or year-end reporting, or testing 'what if' scenarios to assist in budgeting. I may also create customized spreadsheets or other tools to simplify running payroll, estimating the total cost of a new employee, pay raises or employee benefits changes, or for sales or meals tax reporting.
Problems using Quickbooks online features? In April, 2006 Intuit disabled functionality of QuickBooks 2003 in the areas of Bill Pay, Credit Card Download, Do-It-Yourself Payroll, Employee Organizer, Merchant Service, Online Banking, Online Billing, and Support Plans and Services. Since then, Intuit disables online functions for all QuickBooks versions approximately 30 months after the next version is released. If you have problems using Quickbooks in one of these areas, it may not be a training issue; you probably need to upgrade to a newer version of the software.
