Jo Landers has been providing bookkeeping and accounting services to a variety of small businesses, non-profits, sole proprietors and individuals since 1991. Services are available on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis depending on the client’s needs, and may be provided on or off your site, utilizing Quickbooks for Mac or Windows, with Excel for specialized reporting as needed.
Quickbooks is used to track income and expenses, loan payments, payroll, budgeting and bank reconciliations. Quickbooks training is also available.
Excel may be used to comprehensively track total employee costs or benefits, create customized reports or better understand cash-flow management and budgets. It may also be used to track 1099 subcontractor information, including worker's comp and liability insurance contact information and policy expiration dates.
Inexpensive payroll services are also available, including direct deposit, vacation and sick time accruals and electronic state and federal tax payments and filings. The online payroll system allows you to easily import payroll information directly into Quickbooks or other bookkeeping software, reducing errors and saving time.

Unlike most bookkeeping service providers, I will work with you at your site on a regularly scheduled day and time. There’s no need for your confidential information to leave your office and you won't have to wait for me if you need to look something up between scheduled visits. Usually I'll meet with you briefly if any questions come up, and before I leave to go over things (and get any checks or forms signed), but the rest of time I probably won't need to bother you. Of course, if you prefer, I can also work completely off-site, saving you the need to purchase your own bookkeeping software or maintain a computer and desk space.
Bookkeeping Services
Ongoing services may be provided to businesses in Easthampton, Northampton, Westhampton, Southampton, Hadley, Holyoke, or other locations within 10 miles of Easthampton. Quarterly, annual or one-time services or Quickbooks training may be available on an as-needed basis to businesses that are further away.
Quickbooks training
Quickbooks training is usually done one-on-one at the client's site, using their computer and files. Training may be one-time, ongoing over several weeks, or as-needed to address a specific issue.
